The winter vacation for students in the 2024-2025 academic year will be from January 13, 2025 (Monday) to February 23, 2025 (Sunday). New semester will start on February 24, 2025 (Monday).
We sincerely hope everybody will have a good vacation, and would like to call your attention to the following important information:
During the winter vacation, the working hours of the International School will be as follows:
Duty dates: January 16, 2025 to February 16, 2025 (excluding public holidays for the Spring Festival and weekends; normal office hours will resume before January 16 and after February 16).
Duty hours: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
During the winter vacation, the classrooms in the International School will be closed.

Important Notes for International Students During the Winter Vacation:
1.Please pay attention to the validity period of your passport and residence permit. If your visa or residence permit will expire before February 23, please make sure to contact your grade advisor and the visa officer to make an appointment for renewal before January 15.
2.China Government Scholarship (CSC) students must complete offline registration between March 3, 2025, and March 7, 2025. The registration location will be announced separately. Students who fail to complete the registration will have their living allowance suspended for that month.
3.The International School reminds all international students to increase self-protection awareness during the winter vacation, ensure personal safety, and plan their study and research work appropriately. The specific reminders are as follows:
(1) Check-out procedures: If leaving campus or going on holiday, report to your advisor, supervisor, and parents, and ensure that communication tools remain open.
(2) Personal safety precautions: Avoid going to areas without safety facilities, rescue personnel, such as ice skating, skiing, mountain climbing, or hiking. Prevent accidents like gas poisoning, stampedes, fires, and fireworks. Travel with companions and keep in contact with friends or family. Collective outings must not be organized without prior approval.
(3) Traffic safety: Follow local laws and regulations, avoid using illegal transportation vehicles, and do not ride fuel-powered motorcycles or over-limit electric bikes. Pay attention to weather forecasts and prevent secondary disasters caused by extreme weather such as snowstorms, strong winds, low temperatures, or icy roads.
(4) Comply with school and dormitory rules: No unauthorized overnight guests, no gambling or excessive drinking. Pay attention to electrical safety and avoid improper use of electrical appliances, poor-quality sockets, or chargers to prevent winter fires.
(5) Fire safety, theft prevention, and electrical safety: Before leaving the dormitory, ensure that windows and doors are closed and secure your important identification documents and valuables. Cut off power sources to electrical appliances before leaving. No flammable or explosive items should be stored in the dormitory.
(6) Enhance online security awareness: Be cautious of telecom and internet fraud. Do not click on unknown links, trust unfamiliar phone calls, disclose personal information, or engage in harmful online lending activities. When transferring funds, double-check the details and report suspicious situations to the police immediately.
(7) Personal hygiene and health protection: Prevent winter respiratory diseases, pay attention to food hygiene, avoid consuming expired or spoiled food, and choose reputable restaurants when dining out.
(8) Compliance with Chinese laws and regulations: Avoid drug use and trafficking, cherish life, stay away from drugs, strengthen self-protection awareness, and avoid unregulated entertainment venues.
(9) In case of special circumstances, please contact your grade advisor, supervisor, or the relevant department of the university immediately.
