I. Program Introduction

In order to cultivate global governance talents with broad international vision, excellent comprehensive quality, outstanding leadership and cross-cultural background, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) implements Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship. Three master's degree programs at Beihang University have been successfully selected to support.

1. Master Program of Space Information Engineering

As a master's program for international students interested in exploring the mysterious universe, the "Master Program of Space Information Engineering" focuses on knowledge acquisition and operational skills enhancement, with reference to the regulations for core disciplines in the Space Science and Technology Education Center－Curriculum (A/AC. 105.649) issued by UN in 1996, and aims to provide “International, Interdisciplinary, Intercultural, Innovative, Identical (5I)” education and provide an opportunity to obtain more exchanges and experience the practice of space technology in China. This program will broaden the knowledge related to space information engineering and apply the acquired knowledge and skills through practical hands-on experience; provide abundant practical opportunities, modular curriculum design and flexible learning modes; and develop cross-cultural communication skills in an international atmosphere. The main educational fields include Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (RS&GIS), Satellite Communications, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), Micro-satellite Technology, Space Science and Environment, etc. The core faculty members have extensive experience in the field of space science and technology, so as to provide students with broad and solid basic theoretical knowledge as well as in-depth and systematic professional knowledge in the field of space technology and applications; and with the skills to engage in space science research, technology applications or to undertake specialized work independently.

2. Master Program of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data

Relying on the "Double First-class" key disciplines of Computer Science and Technology at Beihang University, the "Master Program of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data" gives full play to the disciplinary advantages, and carries out comprehensive talent cultivation in many frontier fields such as IoT perception technology, data science, intelligent computing and information security with an international teaching perspective and interdisciplinary education concept. The curriculum of the program is closely aligned with the current global trend of digital transformation, focusing on the combination of theory and practice, ensuring that students not only have a solid academic foundation, but also are skilled in applying advanced technologies to solve practical problems. At the same time, it emphasizes the cultivation of innovative thinking, and inspires students' ability of independent thinking and scientific research and exploration through diversified teaching methods. Relying on the scientific research strength of the school and the science and education platform, the project focuses on strengthening the characteristics of scientific research, while building a wide industry cooperation network. By focusing on cutting-edge technology, international vision, inter-disciplinary and integration of industry and education, the program is committed to cultivating a new generation of outstanding talents with both professional quality and global competitiveness.

3. Master Program of Global Outstanding Management Talents

Master Program of Global Outstanding Management Talents is sponsored by Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship. It is organized by School of Economics and Management, Beihang University. The program is offered in English with customized modules, which include basic concepts and theories, specialized courses, enterprise practice, and cutting-edge lectures. The program attracts global outstanding talents in different areas, including project management & industrial engineering, optimization and simulation of production & service system, decision making and decision support system, e-commerce, information system management, operation research, data analysis of complex systems, theory and method of system engineering, logistics system analysis, strategy management, organization behavior and human resource management, leadership, marketing science etc. It aims to cultivate elites with global competence in science and technology, education, law, economic management and other industries.

II. Program Scheme

• Training Mode and Duration: "1+1" Mode. In the first academic year, students complete full-time basic course study and investigation and research, and complete the dissertation preparation at Beihang University. In the second academic year, combined with their own work practice, students complete the dissertation in accordance with the requirements of the university in home country, and then complete the dissertation defense in China. Qualified students will be granted a Master's Degree.

III. Eligibility

1. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, under the age of 45, and in good health both mentally and physically.

2. Applicants should have bachelor or above degree and 3 years or above working experience. Those with related education or working background will be preferred.

3. Applicants should be in one of the following four categories:

(1) Public officials at the division level (or corresponding level) or above in the government department of the host country; 

(2) Senior management staff in institutions and enterprises; 

(3) Administrative staff in universities and scientific research institutions; 

(4) Candidates with relevant working or internship experience in international organizations.

4. Applicants should have obtained the pre-admission letter from Beihang University.

IV. Application Method and Procedure

Step 1: Applying for Pre-admission Letter of Beihang University

1. Application Documents for Pre-admission Letter

(2) Passport home page (ordinary passport with the validation over September, 2025)

(3) Highest education certificate

(4) Academic transcripts (from the undergraduate program onwards) 

(5) English proficiency certificates. IELTS 6.0 or above, or TOEFL 80 or above

(6) Study plan written in English containing more than 1,000 characters or words Click to download the tamplate of Study Plan

(7) Proof of employment or work experience

(8) Two recommendation letters from associate professors or above or current employer including the comprehensive evaluation of the applicant

(9) Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English. The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the final suggestion or signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. (10) Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.

* All application documents above should be in Chinese or English. Notarized English translations are required for those documents not in Chinese or English.

2. Application Procedure for Pre-admission Letter

(1) Send the scanned files of the application documents above via email to fso@buaa.edu.cn and yangxue@buaa.edu.cn with the title of "Application for Pre-Admission letter of Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship " before March 15, 2025.

(2) Beihang University will conduct preliminary review on the application documents, and those who pass the preliminary review will participate in the comprehensive academic interview organized by Beihang University.

(3) Beihang University will provide the Pre-admission Letter to the qualified applicants by email. After obtaining the Pre-admission Letter, the applicants can apply online in the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System.

Step 2: Submiting the Application to the China Scholarship Council (CSC)

Applicants should log on to the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn), fill in the application information and upload all the application documents including the Pre-admission Letter to complete online application before March 30, 2025.  

Select "Type A" as the scholarship type, with the agency number is 1563, and "Youth of Excellence Scheme of China Program Chinese Government Scholarship" as the application program.

V. Review and Admission

1. The China Scholarship Council (CSC) will accept individual applications directly, conduct preliminary review on the application documents and organize expert review. The final admission result will be determined after the expert review.

2. Each scholarship recipient can only receive funding from one Chinese Government Scholarship program.

3. If the scholarship recipient cannot come to study in China according to the admission deadline, the scholarship status will not be retained.
