School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) has a long history that can be traced back to 1958 when it was established as a numerical computing center by Beihang University. In 1978, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established, and in 2002 the School of Computer Science and Engineering was founded. Computer Science and Technology was also among the first batch of National Key Disciplines accredited by the Ministry of Education of China (MOEC). Computer Science and Technology and Software Engineering were disciplines under the construction of "Double First-Class" , and both disciplines achieved top-level in the MOEC’s national evaluation of academic disciplines. According to the latest Shanghai ranking, SCSE makes it to 18th in the world. In addition, SCSE also makes significant achievements in internationalization. 19 faculty members ranked World’s Top 2% Scientists released by Stanford University. The school always adhere to empower students to broaden international horizon and develop problem-solving skills, has carried out the international education for more than 20 years. Using English as the primary language for instruction for all international master’s and PhD programs.
