1. Eligibility

1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding valid foreign passports and must comply with the Nationality Law of the PRC and other relevant regulations, including Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC.

2.Applicants must be in good physical and mental health, of good moral character, and friendly to China. As a general rule, applicants should be between 18 and 22 years old and hold a high school diploma or above.

3.Applicants must provide proof of language proficiency, as follows:

(a) Chinese-taught programs: applicants must submit a valid HSK Level 5 or above score report issued within the past two years, with a score of no less than 180.

(b) English-taught programs: applicants whose native language is not English must submit an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, or a TOEFL score of 90 or above, valid within two years. Applicants whose entire high school curriculum was taught in English may submit a certificate of English-medium instruction issued by their school. Once approved by the University, this certificate may replace the scores above.

(c) Applicants for French-taught programs or programs taught primarily in French must meet the language requirements of their intended major. The specific requirements are set out in the admissions information published by the relevant school.

Application Opening Date: November 1, 2026

Deadline for Online Application and Materials Submission: May 30, 2027

Before the deadline, applicants must complete the online submission of application information and application materials, and resubmit any materials that do not meet the requirements.

3. Application Steps

Step 1: Take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA)

Applicants must take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment for undergraduate admission (hereinafter “the CSCA”), organized by the China Scholarship Council, and obtain a score. For the test dates and content, please visit the official CSCA website (www.csca.cn). For the test subjects, please refer to the Beihang University CSCA Subject Requirements for International Undergraduate Applicants.

Step 2: Register on the Beihang Online Application System for International Students

Log in to the Beihang Online Application System for International Students (http://admission.buaa.edu.cn/), register an account with the applicant’s frequently used personal email address, and complete the registration form as required. (Note: The personal email address is the main channel for application and admission information. It cannot be changed from the submission of the application until enrollment.)

Step 3: Submit Application Materials Online

Please upload scanned copies of the originals of the following materials online, as required:

1.Passport information page. The passport must be valid until after March 1, 2028. Applicants currently in mainland China must also provide a valid visa page or residence permit page. (Note: Applicants should continue to use the passport submitted with their application until enrollment. If it is renewed or replaced due to expiry, loss or damage, they must promptly notify the University and upload the new and previous passport information pages. If the previous passport is unavailable, they must provide evidence of its renewal, replacement or loss. )

2.High school graduation certificate. Applicants in their final year of high school may submit a certificate of expected graduation issued by their school and must submit the formal graduation certificate before formal admission. The University will check the original certificate at registration.

3.Transcripts for all high school courses.

4.CSCA score report.

5.Proof of language proficiency that meets the instruction language requirement of the intended major.

6.Foreigner Physical Examination Form and blood test report, valid for 6 months from the date of examination. Applicants must download the Foreigner Physical Examination Form and complete every item listed in it at a qualified local medical institution. Results must be filled in Chinese or English, signed by the physician, and stamped with the seal of the examining institution.

8.Evidence of the guarantor’s financial resources. The guarantor must provide a bank deposit certificate of no less than the total tuition for 4 years.

9.Applicant’s birth certificate.

10.Documents proving the nationalities of both parents at the time of the applicant’s birth, including passports, identity cards, and any foreign permanent residency certificates obtained.

11.Certificate of no criminal record, issued within six months before submission. Applicants residing outside China must provide a certificate issued by the competent authority in their country or region of residence. Applicants who have resided in mainland China for a cumulative total of at least 180 days and meet the requirements for a criminal record check must provide a certificate issued by the exit-entry administration of the public security authority at their place of residence. Those who have resided in mainland China for less than 180 days must provide a certificate issued by the competent authority in their previous country or region of residence and explain their period of residence in China.

12.Integrity Commitment Letter, which guarantees that the materials provided by the applicant are authentic and valid. If any material is found to be false, the University will cancel the applicant’s eligibility immediately. Click here to download the template

13.Notarized Guardian’s Guarantee. Required for applicants who will be under 18 years old on September 1, 2027. The guardian must be an adult with a source of income who resides in the city where the campus is located (Beijing or Hangzhou). Click here to download the template

14.Other supplementary materials, such as award certificates, a personal statement, and a portfolio.

Notes:

* If the original of any application material is not in Chinese or English, a notarized translation must also be provided.

* Only scanned copies of the originals of the above materials need to be uploaded. Paper materials are not required.

* Applicants for art majors must submit a portfolio of paintings as required.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and formally submit the application

Please pay the application fee as instructed by the system and upload the payment receipt. After the application fee payment is approved, applicants must log in to the system to formally submit the application.

Note:

Please indicate the applicant’s full name as shown on the passport and passport number on the application fee transfer voucher.

Once the application fee is approved, the applicant must log into the application system to formally submit the application.

After the online application is successfully submitted, please check the status of the online application system and your personal email regularly.

4. Duration and Fees

Program duration: 4 years

Application fee: RMB 400 or USD 70, paid by bank transfer. Once paid, the application fee is non-refundable.

Tuition:

• Chinese-taught programs:

• Science and Engineering majors (except those of the School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering), Economics and Management majors, and Humanities and Law majors: RMB 25,000 per academic year

• Majors of the School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering and art majors: RMB 30,000 per academic year

• English-taught programs:

• RMB 30,000 per academic year（except those of Beihang Valencia Polytechnic Institute）

• Majors of Beihang Valencia Polytechnic Institute: RMB 80,000 per academic year

• French-taught programs: Tuition fees will be announced separately.

Insurance fee: RMB 3,200 (for four academic years in total). All students must purchase comprehensive medical insurance for four academic years in one payment at registration.

Accommodation fee^*:

Beijing campus: double room, RMB 30 per bed per day

Hangzhou International Campus: double room, RMB 2,000 per bed per academic year

* Accommodation in the international student apartments must be reserved in advance. The reservation method will be announced after formal admission.

* The accommodation fee is based on the dormitory actually occupied and does not include water and electricity charges.
