To encourage the outstanding international students and support the students from countries along “the Belt and Road” to study for Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree in China, “the Belt and Road” Confucius Institute Scholarship established by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) is launched now.

Qualifications:

1. Applicants should be self-supported full-time international undergraduates or postgraduates who are from countries along “the Belt and Road”;

2. Applicants should be the current international students who are studying for Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree in grade 2 or above;

3. Applicants should be in the majors of literature, history, philosophy, economics, law, education, management and other related disciplines;

4. Applicants should be excellent in the studies;

5. Applicants should be outstanding in the behaviors;

6. Applicants should participate in public service activities and practice actively;

7. Applicants should have HSK test score;

8. Applicants haven’t been awarded any other scholarship yet;

9. Priority will be given to the candidates with economic hardship under the same qualifications.

Scholarship (Duration: 6 months in total, during the second semester of academic year 2017-2018)

1. Tuition funding: RMB 10400 Yuan for undergraduate, RMB 12900 Yuan for postgraduate

2. Living cost allowance: RMB 2500 Yuan per month for undergraduate, RMB 3000 Yuan per month for postgraduate

3. Accommodation allowance: RMB 700 Yuan per month

Required Documents and Application Procedure

1. Apply online and print out the application form on the website of Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban)(http://cis.chinese.cn). Please note that the “Recommendation Institution” is Beihang University and the “contact number” is 82339326.

2. Prepare transcript, copies of HSK test result, and certificates of research achievements, awards, and participation in extra-curriculum activities;

3. Submit all the documents mentioned above to Office 206 of International School;

4. Application deadline: December 5, 2017.

Application documents will be reported to Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) for the assessment and approval.
